Last Monday the Detroit news reported Detroit council to look at pay-to-play ordinance
City Council members are expected to discuss a proposed pay-to-play ordinance on how no-bid contracts can be awarded in Detroit.
Councilwoman Sheila Cockrel says a committee she chairs will ask the city’s Law Department today about the language in the ordinance, which would prohibit awarding those contracts to businesses that make certain political contributions.
Oh yeah. If’n you donnoa contribute to MY election campaign, you ain’t gonna get ANY contracts.
CAN THE CORRUPTION IN THE DETROIT CITY BE MADE ANY MORE CLEAR THAN THIS IDIOT GOING ON THE RECORD THAT CITY CONTRACTS SHOULD ONLY BE AWARDED IF THE COMPANIES INVOLVED CONTRIBUTE THE RIGHT AMOUT OF MONEY TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE?
ISN’T THAT CALLED SOLICITATION OF BRIBERY?
And you people in Detroit keep re-electing these people. You are just as nuts as they are.
